Our walk to Minden starts a week tomorrow. We know we'll be ready, but how? The website (www.yorkshireridings.org) is up and running and it says we are doing it, so we must be.
As it says above, it is going to happen, and pretty soon. Missed posting yesterday, sorry, I nodded off checking the route details for the umpteenth time. It's got to be right, a mistake now could cost a lot of extra walking. something we're not keen on with a finish time to keep to. I even checked the Google photos to make sure the bridges are still there. That took a while because we'll cross a lot of bridges.
Today we went for another really good run. Slight panic that we may be peaking too early. Actually the walk could have been off today as I got attacked by a particularly vicious mobility scooter which did a wild swerve as we ran through the pedestrian area. Another stride nearer and there could have been a nast accident. I think it was my old rugby side step and lightning fast reactions which got me out of trouble. Well I can dream.
The motorhome has had a good clean and we are ready to start stuffing far more clothes than we can wear in ten weeks, let alone three, into the cupboards. Emergency rations, plasters, knee supports, compression bandages and portable x-ray equipment etc are all ready to go. There is just one problem which we are pondering. What claims to be green but is patently blue. Answer tomorrow.
